Commemorative Bench & Tree Program

The Commemorative Bench & Tree Program presents the opportunity for people to contribute a lasting and positive impact on the local parks, trails, and cemeteries. You may wish to honour the memory of a loved one or celebrate the accomplishment of a friend or family member by acknowledging or commemorating their life with the purchase of a bench or tree in the community.

Please complete this form to submit a request for a park bench, tree and plaque. Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula staff will contact you via email withing two weeks to confirm receipt of application. Applications will be reviewed within 6 weeks of application, Staff will contact donors with details about the donation, payment, etc.

Commemorative Park Bench $2,000 

The Classic Heritage bench prominently represents accessibility, durability, and style. With a raised seat height of 19”, its curved back and curved bench with extra wide-grip arms provide easy ingress and egress from both seating and standing positions.  The bench meets the CSA National Standard of Canada for Accessible Design.

Commemorative Park Tree $750

There are two options available for a commemorative tree:
- A newly planted tree with an engraved metal plaque installed in a concrete base;
- An engraved metal plaque and concrete base installed at the foot of an established tree, typically planted within the past five years.
