A Deeming By-Law deems areas of land to no longer be part of a registered plan of subdivision. This type of by-law allows certain lots, or parts of lots, on a plan of subdivision to merge together. Deeming By-Laws are generally used to incorporate lots from aged plans of subdivision, which no longer meet current zoning standards. This can be beneficial for property owners when the lots could be used as one parcel of land to allow for space for permitted accessory buildings, such as a detached garage, private guest cabin, etc.
The fee associated with this process is seven-hundred and fifty-dollars ($750.00). This fee includes/covers the costs to register the information on title by our solicitor.
